Southampton have confirmed the 26 players heading to Austria for the club's pre-season training camp, with Romain Perraud, Theo Walcott and Nathan Redmond not travelling Young midfielder Diamond Edwards is among the 26-strong group, while teenage left-back Thierry Small and young defender Dynel Simeu have also travelled.
However, Romain Perraud, Theo Walcott and Nathan Redmond are not among the players making the trip, with Saints confirming that they are staying behind at Staplewood to continue work to be 100 per cent fit. Perraud was injured at the end of last season, and has not yet featured in pre-season training.
Saints head out to the lakeside resort of Velden am Worthersee today (Wednesday), with Ralph Hasenhuttl's men set to face RB Leipzig and SK Austria Klagenfurt in two friendlies while they are out in Austria. The first of those will be against the Saints manager's former club Leipzig at the Lavanttal Arena on Saturday, before facing Klagenfurt at the Worthersee Stadion on Monday evening.
